coorsdrifter
I'm going to be booking a spring bear hunt next year and was wondering anyone has used 'Outdoors connection' to book their hunts.I'm looking to hunt here in the States, possible Idaho,Maine,or Minnesota.I will be using my 7mmrem mag, with factory ammo,I've heard that's enough gun,but have never been on anytime of big game hunt before,(other than whitetails).Any advice or info would be appreciated. njbowhntr
I do not have any information for you about "Outdoors Connection." I am using Bullseys Outfitters to book my next bear hunt. Just not sure where I am a going yet, leaning towards Sask. As for the gun that you are going to be shooting, you will have no problem. The 7mm is a great all around round. Guest Colorado Bob
My buddy used his 7Mag on a nice Colorado blackie. It went 6 1/2'----real nice bear. He used 160 grain bullets. I would seriously consider Idaho-----for a couple reasons. 1st it's a 2 bear season in most unitsplus lots color phase bears, 2nd----No bugs--black flies, skitters-----I would hate sitting on a stand in a bug suit. 3rd--if you have never seen the Rockies---you are in for a special treat----God's Country--IMO. Guest highcountry32
bear hunt Idaho is a great sring bear state, tons of bears all the colors!! 7mag is more than enough gun, most of your spring bear (bait) shots are within 20 yards
stevebeilgard
7mag is a bit heavy for blacks. the bigger blacks are in upper canada and southern alaska. prince of wales island is famous for 8' blacks.
