VermontHunter
Yep,,, there is several of us that have are in this boat. You aren't alone .. I have every channel they have to offer and pay top dollar for them ,,, but they do away with 9 channels and you would think that they would reduce my bill by $17.81 per/mo ($1.99 per/ch.) ,, but NO they just keep my money and give no reason as to why they pulled my channels... But I've had Direct TV also and they are just as big of crooks ... Rock and a hard place my friend.... Once again the consumer takes it where the sun doesn't shine ..
Guest tator
worst of all one of the best channels i lost was mor channel. i have direct tv at work and we still have it out here so i think i'm going to switch to direct tv
AdvantageTimberLou
Dish Network is getting pathetic, said they are in negotiations and trying to blame Media Group for the problem. Talk to Media Group and they say its Dish's problem. Problem is ticked off customers and new hunting shows that aren't being seen by us. Those folks making those shows have to be really mad!! wtnhunt
Dish network in my opinion has terrible customer service. I will not do business with them again.
Ravin R10 man
Dish network in my opinion has terrible customer service. I will not do business with them again. I think what we all should do is just drop them when the contract comes up for renewl. I can get Real Tree on dvd, along with Primos and others...with the $500 + its costing me Id still have $$ left over...Maybe I could start a kitty for a new mathews??...LOL meanwhile, all we can do is wait for our MOR channel. Jeramie
Switch to Direct TV. I have been with them for 10+ years and have NEVER had a single problem with them. We still get the outdoor Channel. They have really taken care of me....
MUDRUNNER
I've never heard anything good about Dish.We just got Direct T.V. and it'been pretty good.We have a load of channels and their customer service has been good so far,and you get someone that speaks english on the phone if you ever need them. buckbuster11
The couple times I have had to deal with their customer service hasn't been a walk in the park for me either. Lucky for me, one of my best friends works for Dish and lives a mile away. So anytime I have problems I go through him and it's a piece of cake. Texan_Til_I_Die
Dish Network is having financial difficulties and I don't think DirecTV will be far behind. Personally, I think there will be a merger between the two within the next 2-3 years, or they'll both go down the tubes.

But i have always owned my equipment so i can turn it off today if i want to.

MUDRUNNER
digi cable is the way to go IMO. We had digital through Charter Cable at our old house and it cost $20 a month more and we had fewer channels than we do with Direct T.V.Anytime we had an issue and called we would have to talk to about 8 foreigners that could barely speak english and waste over an hour to get anywhere.I'm sure every cable companies not like that, but Charter flat out stinks, and it's the only one offered here. Personally, I think there will be a merger between the two within the next 2-3 years, or they'll both go down the tubes. Back when I was in the business that was supposedly being talked about. That has been probably at least 7 or 8 years ago though. Primestar was pretty well completely phased out or wiped out when Direct and Dish started out. To my knowledge there is nothing to compete with the satellite providers for service where there is no alternative, so I really dont see both going away. That was not sewage, that was the so called professional sports teams they have there, they didn't realize a concert was going on and to get off the field! LMAO!! Guest IL_HuNtIn_KiD
We've had both direct and dish here. We had Direct for a long time till we had one major problem with their customer service then my dad said he wouldn't ever go back to them. So since then we have had dish and never had a single problem with them till now.
Guest TheOutdoors
For those of you who don't mind doing a little legwork, I'd suggest contacting your favorite hunting or fishing show and having them put their episodes online at sites like Watch The Outdoors (www.watchtheoutdoors.com). We did this for our show and it's been working good so far. Plus, our viewers can watch our show any time they want, and aren't affected by cable and satellite systems turning off their favorite outdoor channels. Just my $.02. Strut10
D-Network are scoundrels. One time they sent me a coupon for a free PPV movie. I never watch movies. But since it was a freebee........me and the Mrs. watched a movie. D-Network then proceeded to NOT bill me for the movie.........until after the coupon expired. When I called their "customer service" I was told (in a nutshell) that I was outta luck. Too bad. So sad.
