wtnhunt
Usually type around 60 wpm on these tests, but can type alot faster when I am typing what I am thinking instead of trying to read and type. Got 59 wpm with 3 mistakes first try.

lil hunter
what are you supposed to do to make it stop? I typed the thing 3 times, and the only thing I see is "oops, quickly, you made a mistake" and it doesn't tell me my wpm or mistakes or anything. You have to correct your mistake before you can move on.
lil hunter
since when does a typing test make you correct your mistake? All the ones I use to take in keyboarding class, you just kept going past the mistake and each word you messed up counted as a mistake at the end. If you have to delete your mistakes a fix them, then why do they count your mistakes at the end? That makes no sense, the mistakes are no longer there, so it is truly telling you how many wpm you can type correctly, but then it tells you how many mistakes you made, which would typically take away from your wpm. Oh well, done ranting.

Oh well, done ranting. Calm down Francis. Go back to my original post. You are correct. This test muggs posted is not the best example of a timed test for sure. It also lacks mixed punctuation, symbols, and numbers which is a better test of true touch skills.
