elkoholic
....a people person? Personally, I am not, although my job as a pharmacist forces me to be personable. Once I am off work, my hermit side comes out. I do not go out of my way to meet the neighbors, stop to chat while shopping (I hate shopping), or go anywhere to socialize. When not at work, the telephone is an object of annoyance. How about you?
wtnhunt
Not so much really, I mean I dont avoid people and will talk with people, but i dont usually strike up a conversation with a stranger.
Shaun_300
Yeah I'd say I'm a people person, but I do like my alone time too. I work as a mechanic, so sometimes I have to explain stuff and show stuff to customers if the service advisors can't explain it well enough themselves. Or the customers sometimes say "I want to speak to the mechanic." A lot of the other guys don't like talking to the customers, but I don't mind one bit! I can also carry on a conversation with someone I've never met in my life. Like I said though, I love going fishing alone sometimes, just to be alone for a while. But all in all, I'm definetly a people person.
OJR
Talking and Helping People I like to be around people who are fun to be with. It depends on what the setting is! I do not go over to the neighbors! Did that several years ago and learned that just doesn't work for me! People who are not neighbors are not a problem! Most of the time, I will take time to help people if I can. If I see what they are asking is something I don't know anything about or they are trying to take advantage of a situation, I will back off and not help at all! texastrophies
Yea, people get mad at me all the time because I talk too much. :D:D I prefer to just look and listen.
Guest Finn
I'm quiet in big groups, but kinda talkative in small groups where I'm comfortable with everyone.
lil hunter
I'm definetly not. at work, (pizza hut) I'm always the last one to pick up a phone, or help someone at the counter/carry out window. I actually talk very little, unless I know everyone around me. There are some other random times when I will start talking to anybody though, it's weird. preacherman
Let's see........ My job kind of forces me to be a people person. I am in front of the public quite often and am forced to be talkative to those around me. But then sometimes, just like Finn, when I am in a large crowd setting, I tend to go in a shell. unioncountyslayer
Definitely not. My wife dominates conversations when we are out, so that's a good thing. I can just sit back and make fun of people. J/K
buckee
I don't think I'm a people person. I like talking to people, but It's not like me to strike up a conversation. I'm kind of a quiet person, who prefers to stay close to home, most of the time.
HarvDog
Yep...that's what they tell me. I do enjoy being around people.
Tominator
Yeah, I'd say so. If I see an opportunity to be what I think would be humorous, I don't care who's standing around, I'm going to say something. I'm not real good at parties where I don't know people though. I'm real good with complete strangers I'll never see in my life again, my wife can't understand how I'll strike up a conversation with anyone. Steven
I try to be, but I have social anxiety, even when in a group of several friends I'll clam up. I'm more of an observer in groups. When I do try to talk to a stranger I always seem to pick someone who can't carry their end of a conversation and I turn away in disgust. I'm much more adept at communication through writing than speaking and I'm pretty worthless on the phone. I'd much rather have someone in front of me so I can read their face and body language. HuntnMa
I used to be.....then when i got this job, i'm happy just being in the woods with the critters...i do see folks from time to time out there and its nice to see most of them , lol...everyone at work says i can get folks to talk, i can know their life history in minutes, lol.....i just talk to them.....i was even volunteered to be a birding festival leader because they say i have a way, my butt, they just dont want to be nice, lol....i used to be a waitress for years, so i had to put on a happy face even when i didnt have one , i had to be fake i guess, thats not me...had to be nice to mean people, etc........this way i see just enough folks to satisfy my need for human companionship, lol....if i'm grumpy, i dont have to talk to them if i dont want too, i just wave and keep going.....then i have the woods and the solitude. Guest Andrea
I am not one to go out of my way to talk to people. I'm married to someone though, who CANNOT go anywhere without having a lifelong discussion with total strangers. Drives me absolutely crazy. We can't go anywhere without me standing around waiting for him to hush up. I like people, don't get me wrong. I can cut up with the best of them. But for the most part.......I like peace and quiet. I leave the neighbors alone but am not rude. Will wave and say hello.
quackmaster4
I don't have a choice. It seems wherever I go people seem to seek me out. My family and friends refer to it as my "magnet". Older folks, little kids, homeless guys, it doesn't matter. I say it just gives me a chance to meet interesting folks.
Swamphunter
Absolutely not In no way what-so-ever, could I be confused with a "people person".

muggs
Yeah, I like being around people. I'm quiet when I first meet new people, but after I get comfortable with them, I'm fine and can talk a lot. Like some others have said, I'm better with small groups than big crowds too. DSGB
Definately not. The more people I meet, the more I like my dog.
Bachflock
I don't like being around crowds but I'd say I'm a people person. I could never be a salesman but my job deals with the public ever moment. Yeah, I think I'm a people person.
Jodyslilbro
It depends. If I am with my friends I will talk and talk and talk. But with people I just meant, I won't say much if they don't ask me a question.
