Shaun_300
http://www.canada.com/ottawacitizen/story.html?id=a9407333-cd21-4841-bb6e-cd971ecf743b&k=19874 This happened right here in the town I live in last week! Personally I don't think it'd weigh over 12lbs, judging by how far out he's holding it. Still a MONSTER smallie though. Too bad he filleted it! Would have been a world record if it weighed what he claimed it to weigh.
SuperMn106
That guy is insane. I dont think it is 12lbs either but i would say 8 or 9. Still a Monster fish, that would have been a great fight.

Why he'd make up a story like that is beyond me. I was talking to a guy that knows him and he said he wouldn't believe a word out of his mouth. Tominator
He's holding it out towards the camera. Look at his fingernails in comparison to the fish. I'd be surprised if it went over 6 lbs. to be honest with you. Nice bronzeback, fo' sho'.

It is a great smallie don't get me wrong but he went a tad over board saying it was 12 lbs.
preacherman
That is a nice brown fish; but it is not 12 pounds. I agree with some of you other guys, maybe 6 or 7; but not 12!
Guest andymansavage
Oldest photo trick in the book. 6 pound fish max. Dude just looks like a BS factory. Andy
fisherguy
Big smallie, nowhere near 12 pounds. He claims it was 22 inches long. I have had the pleasure of catching a fat 21"smallie and it weighed a hair over 7 pounds before I released it. I have seen two other smallies in the 21-22 inch range and the larger weighed under 8 pounds. It is a nice fish, but he is very mistaken on the weight.
