Texas free range Axis

I am thinking of setting up a Texas free range axis hunt. I found an outfitter that has Axis and there are no high fences. Anyone have any advice and secrets to the Axis hunting.

Yeah, shoot as many of the darn things as you can. They're really bad about running the whitetails off! :eek:

Seriously, they're almost, but not quite, like a whitetail as far the acuteness of their senses and being wild (unless they've been heavily fed, then they calm down). A lot of places do spot and stalk. You'll ride around in a jeep or truck until you see one off in the distance, then take off after him on foot. Just use the same stalking stills you would use on a whitetail or mule deer. Watch the wind and move in slowly.
