I would be a fan if it had different hosts. Terry and Mark get on my nerves. Nothing against them just would like to see someONE else running it.

I really enjoy their show because I believe they show it as it really is.

Not sure about "how it really is" b/c the drury boys do their share of cut-away but at least they work hard to keep it real. Dream Season and Wildlife Obsession are both at the top of the list.

Now the Primos gang, thats how it really is.

I got into the Dream Season show last year. It's really the only "reality TV" that I can stand to watch. I got hooked and have been enjoying it ever since.

I also agree that the Videos are great, as well as the Primos, but I don't think that anything will top the RT Monster Buck Empire. At least that's my opinion. :D

I really like the Dream Season shows but this year is probably my least favorite to date. I don't mind the fact that the women are out there hunting with them men, but they could have at least picked teams where the women have killed deer before. Most of the ladies on the show have been killing their first deer and/or animal ever with their bows on the show.

Seems like you would want some ladies that were actually hunters and not beginners. The lady the other night missed three does in a row for goodness sakes.

Overall though the premise behind the show is great. I love all the little contests they have and the prizes they give away. It's an awsome deal.

Waddell's still the man though!!!! Roadtrips was another awsome episode last night.

Ive seen the show but dont like the "team" concept they try to make out of hunting. I think this takes something away from the heritage of how we learned to respect hunting. To me they are putting more emphasis on competition, and making hunting a cheap thrill. They have went down the "gameshow" mentality road. IMHO

I hear what you are saying here. I agree with the idea that it maybe a little "gameshowish" as you say. I've met Mark before and had a lengthy conversation with him, and I"m sure they would never have bad intentions in mind when they created the show. I hope any future seasons have more experienced hunters though.

Remember the heritage of hunting but also have a fun doing it. There's nothing wrong with enjoying yourself or showing your emotions out there. I know I do it, it's just that there is not camera there to capture me doing it. I'm sure I say and do some pretty silly things while I'm out there, but I gaurantee I'm having a blast.

i don't really see it that way. yeah it is a competition, but its not "you kill the biggest deer and you win" type. deer size doesn't really matter, the only time they want them to shoot a big deer or make sure it is a certain size is when they have thier get togethers. other than that, they just want good footage, kills on video (which, for anyone who films their own hunts, these are the main things they are looking for IMO) , and good on screen personalities. as for the team parts...well, that comes along with filming...there are tons of hunters out there who, along with a friend or family memeber "team-up" to film hunts year round.

As for the women hunters on there....i think it is kinda cool that for some of them these deer are their first. i mean, everyone has to start somewhere right? everyone misses, a lot of us have gone through the pain of missing a few times before getting our first, or at least i did. i guess i like the fact that they are "new" to the sports and adding to the hunting community. i think the next season, or at least one in the future should be one with a parent and their lid going through a huntign season together, whether it be their first, or not..have a parent and a youngster, say under the age of 16 pr 17 or something. that'd be pretty neat:)

I really think you guys are looking into it to much. They are showing all different aspects of hunting. If any of you have ever taken a wife or g/f hunting you would understand. I am lucky enough that my g/f started hunting with me. There are some women that started hunting at a young age and are used to the walking and sitting long hours in the stand. For the most part though it is the husbands and the b/f that got them into hunting and it is a real treat. I wouldnt trade any moment I have spent in the woods with my g/f. In my opinion this is the best season yet. To me this year is more of a reality show than any other season. I dont have kids yet but I am about possitive that see your children kill there first deer is just as exiting seeing a wife or g/f kill there first deer. And besides what is hotter than a women in camo?

Here is a pic of my g/f first deer.

Looks like you're off to a good start there indianaboy, wish you the best for the future (kids).

Didn't have much luck with mine, looin' forward with the grandson though. As for the hunting shows, they're getting to "SHOW", instead of putting insite into them. Primos and Realtree are good , IMO. Would really like to see where the camera is of in the distance, and the hunter is putting the OL' sneakin' up on um type hunt, now that's hunting !! (with bow or handgun)..

the drury videos always get me pumped up for the season. i will say that i like the Whitetail Obsession series better than Dream Season (both from Drury) since it focuses on their year-round efforts to tag monster deer. quality vids either way!
