bobw Posted July 27, 2007 Author Report Share Posted July 27, 2007 Steuben county in new york was shotgun only for deer (slugs that is) they just changed to rifle for deer, not to happy there is a lot of flat land there have to be more careful now... terry264 Posted July 27, 2007 Report Share Posted July 27, 2007 Hi bobw, consider this, would you rather be hunting in an area where semi-auto saboted shotgun slugs are used (they can travel about as far as most rifles nowadays), and are inherently less accurate, or a rifle is used that will probably hit the deer first shot.
