huntn4bucks
I know it's not even August yet but I'm starting to get the itch for some early season goose hunting. We had a spring freeze this year that killed a lot of corn in our area and then we had a severe drought after the second planting. We may not have any corn ready to pick by the first of September but I'm still optimistic. Here's some success we had last season:
quackmaster4
Nice pic! I'm getting ready myself. Starting to check with local farms to re-affirm permission; stuff like that. It's amazing the number of doors a case or two of Coors will keep open.

Covehnter
I'll be in Colorado chasin' elk for the opener but i'll be back soon enough to poison some honkers! Got lots of corn planted this year but nothing going to make much b/c of the lack of rain.

DU_man_84
cant wait, we have some really good geese numbers in the area this year for the locals, seems to be way up compared to most seasons, we had a good wet spring for em so it outa be a very interseting year
Guest benelli_man_84
Huntin4bucks, If you wanna go on Lake Walter F. George on september 8th or 29th with us, let me know. I know we talked about hunting together a while back, but now the invitation is official. It is about 40 miles northeast of Dothan, AL. Hit me up and let me know. I'll have to see how things look around here in the next week or so. I highly doubt we'll have any corn ready to pick by the 1st of September but I'll let you know. Guest benelli_man_84
I found out that there is gonna be a big bass tournament on the 8th on the lake. That will get the birds moving all day long. It looks like it is gonna be a good hunt.
