Turkeygirl
Was wondering how much deer archery targets go for or where I might find the best, cheapest deal? Andy is thinking we should get one...maybe with the replaceable vitals. What do you guys use or recommend?

At first it killed me to shooot the thing cuz the arrows were tough (and I mean REAL tough) to pull out of it. But after it got broken in some, it works great. Had it for 2.5 yrs now and it stilll holds arrows pretty darn good.

Michihunter
You mean my noble steed Rocky? Heck no!! That horse is as steady as anything I've shot ever shot from. Only drawback is he's a bit slow nowadays.
hoytbowhunter
The Gleb Del buck is not the cheapest deal but it will last way longer then anything else and the arrow removal is so much easier. The normal size Glen Del is not that much more expensive in comparison to some only a few bucks more in my option they are well worth the money. AdvantageTimberLou
You have to watch the cheaper 3d targets. Sometimes you get what you pay for. McKenzie is a good brand to go with as is Delta. Basically one in the same as for companies.
wtnhunt
Looking for a new target here, my old blue ridge 3d lasted 4 or 5 years. Have not found any I like in stock anywhere yet. Went to two different outdoor stores Saturday, neither one had any 3d deer targets in stock. Wal mart did have a 3d in one of the stores we were in last week, was priced at $79.99, thinking it was a delta. Think I may just order a target from cabelas. What I pay for shipping would be about the same as what I will end up paying for tax anyways.
Tom2008
The McKenzie buck is what I would go with for the best price. They cost around $75, but there are more out there that cost under $100. The Glendel buck costs a lot of money, but it a exceptional 3D target.
magnatecsteve
I'm DONE with the cheaper 3-D targets..they just simply do not last. I shoot ALOT, but still, the McKenzies at the local 3-D range are several years old and still look great. I have just about shot up my Delta in less than a year. Next time it is McKenzie. toddyboman
Check out basspro or cabelas, both are about due to run specials on 3-d targets.
BearClaw
I use the Delta Backyard Buck Legend with the replaceable vitals. It holds up pretty good and it is realistic looking for the price. Around $89.00 I think. I've shot a lot of fieldpoints into it before needing replaced. I will soon to begin shooting broadheads.
M00N
We've always shot McKenzie targets here at this house and at the 3D ranges. I have to say I really love their targets, especially their layered foam line. I have the McKenzie Tuff Buck. We got it from Bass Pro Shop for really cheap. The box it was in was damaged in shipping, but not the target at all inside, so they had it marked down considerably stuffed in a corner in the front of the store. Only difficulty we had was carrying it out of the store because the box was destroyed. People in the mall gave us some weird looks to come carrying pieces of a deer target past them towards the car, especially when I was just carrying around the head. lol
