Swamphunter
I was wondering, does anyone have this shotgun? It is Remingtons Model SP-10 Magnum. I would like to get one in a year or so and was wondering if you guys have had any experiences with them, good or bad. Also what is the price tag like?? Thanks
snapper
Re: Remington SP-10 Magnum Rem. makes good guns. Never shot or owned that model...but guessing you can plan on paying around $700 for it.
Guest DaHunter
Re: Remington SP-10 Magnum I do believe that you will be paying around 900 for that gun...if you can find it for 700 let me know where!!
Strut10
Re: Remington SP-10 Magnum Have not owned one. But I know a couple guys who used to use them. Used to. They are darn heavy. Unless you do very little walking, you will get tired of lugging it around. Snapper was a bit optimistic on the price. You may find a decent used one for around $700. But a new gun like the one you have pictured will run you in the $1100 ballpark...............around $950 for a wood/blued one. IMHO..........the SP-10 is a goose blind gun. If you've gotta have a 10 ga. to hunt turkeys, get the Browning pump. It's about 3-4 lbs. lighter. But, bear in mind, you will pay a price for that, too. Swamphunter
Re: Remington SP-10 Magnum Man, I didn't see that price tag on that baby! I'll have to settle for something else I guess!

layin on the smackdown
I am an owner of a Remington SP 10 gauge with a pattern master choke tube...It is a cannon! hardly any kick either. It is a sweet shooting gun, and can really reach out and touch em! I have used it for turkeys, and mainly use it for late season goose hunting, and snow goose hunting. redbeard
I've shot most of my birds with one. Bought it the year they came out with it, 87, if I remember correctly, mighta been 89 to think of it. Never had a problem. Use a Rhino choke, 720 I believe. Nitro shells. It's a heavy bugger. 800.00 for a used one would be a bargain. Don't expect to kill 'em any further out than a choked 3.5 inch 12 though. Do expect less of a kick though. But you pay for the lesser recoil with an extra few pounds of weight. Way I look at it, it's my yearly exercise regiment, totin' that sucker hither and yon. Rhino
WOW...now that's diggin out an oldie. Looks like Swampy threw in the towel on the SP-10 idea on New Years Eve 2004.
Rhino
Way I look at it, it's my yearly exercise regiment, totin' that sucker hither and yon. No arguement there. It'll sure do that!! The 1st time I ever picked one up my 1st thoughts were you might need a wheelbarrow to haul that sucker around.
