mainebuck
Does anyone know of any peep sites besides the Fletcher True Peep that do not use rubber rubing?
Tominator
Re: peep without tubing There's a bunch of them. Personally I use the Shurz-a-peep. Might want to go here: www.cabelas.com Search on peep sights
billygoat
Re: peep without tubing Tominator has it right, visit any archery store and they will show various tubeless peeps w/ various diameters. Good luck.
VermontHunter
Re: peep without tubing I would personaly stay away from the peeps that have len's in them....they are quite a distraction.(JMO)

[/ QUOTE ] When I bought my new bow I didn't want the peep sight that required the tubing, so the proshop installed a new peep sight for me and when I came back to get it the peep sight hole had a lense installed in it...I tried it for awhile but needless to say I had it removed... VTbowman
Re: peep without tubing Another route is to go without the rubber tubing and use a "T.R.U. Speed Nock with peep aligner". Its all aluminium and weighs the same as one brass nock point (5 grains). Its used in place of a brass nock and has a small "flag" that stick down between the nock of your arrow to keep the string turned so you can see threw the peep. It costs about $10 in Cabelas. Just my 2 cents...
robk
Re: peep without tubing www.peepeliminator.com i shot the fletcher tru peep for many years and i foound the eliminator and now i have no worries about the fletcher or any of hte other peeps out there. give this a shot and your going to be hooked. great in lowlight conditions and it's like shooting your rifle or muzzle loader best thing i have ever got hold of and it sure comes in handy when those low light situations occur good luck rob k
AdvantageTimberLou
Re: peep without tubing My peep uses the rubber tubing and as most are saying there are lots out there not using the rubber tubes. My question is why not the rubber tubing? Bad experinence with one or is it a distraction? Just curious. Lou
mainebuck
Re: peep without tubing a few reasons I want to get rid of it. 1. cracks, have to keep replacing it. 2. in the way, gets hung on stuff 3. get more arrow speed wtihout it
JimT
Re: peep without tubing When I bring in my bow for its annual check up I should have them put a tubeless on mine. The rubber tubing has broke on me a few times over the years. Not a good thing. Got a couple months to wait for that though.
billygoat
Re: peep without tubing Mainebuck: Just be aware... you won't gain a significant amount of speed by installing a tubeless peep... however if you are fine tuning and trying to gain where you can... this is certainly an area that will work! mainebuck
Re: peep without tubing I'm going to try a tubeless peep, 1 string leech rather than 2, and no kisser button. think that'll get me maybe an extra 5fps?
