Huntress
I went to work yesterday thinking it would just like every other Monday evening...slow and boring with hardly any customers. Well, I was partly right. As I'm standing there, waiting for a customer to help, a gentleman and his family walks by me...instantly, I reconized him but couldn't figure out from where. As soon as he slipped into our treestand display, I knew who he was...Chris Parish!! For those of you who don't know, he is a National Turkey calling champion and a reknowned turkey hunter. I grabbed a catalog (only thing I had) and a Sharpie and headed his direction. I was really anxious and extremely nervous, but rather or not it showed, he shook my hand and greeted me like an old friend. After talking with him for several minutes I got my courage up and he was more than happy to hand out an autograph. That made those 8 boring hours definatly worth while!!! A great guy and by talking to him, you would think he was just an average Joe hunter...under neath his cool composer, he's one of the best turkey experts in the hunting community. He'll be at our Fall Hunting Classic in August and you can bet I'll have a front row seat to his seminar!! Thanks for listening to a young hunters ramblings...
