But I also have a hunting camp in North Dakota and that opens August 31st at Noon. Im heading out this weekend to scout and set up a couple stands. Then The weekend Before it opens Im heading out to scout and do a couple other stands. Then its game time. I go to college 2 hrs away from my spot in North Dakota and I only have classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Friday - Monday night nothin but hunting. Oh yeah Wednesday Ill probably hunt also. elkoholic
September 1st here and if they don't postpone the season due to forest fires and if I can see through the smoke from the fires, bugling elk are the first priority with a few days spent in a tree stand for deer. There is an outside chance I may try an antelope hunt the 15th and 16th of August, although sitting in a Doghouse blind in 95 to 100 degree heat may be a tough go. Rhino
Hummm...Oct. 1st comes on a Monday this year. I hate that. I'm going to have a lot of woods to myself for the first 5 days or so. :D Don't look for me to be checking in that week unless there's a hurricane or something else that would keep me out of a tree or out of the woods. Guest Guideman
Sept. 15TH here in Missouri. Chomping at the bit to get out there and deal with the heat, gnats and skeeters! Why???? Because it beats sitting in my lounge chair WATCHING the hunts on t.v. hahahahahahahaa Plus, it is my time to get some hunting in. Most of my clients have already broken off for the Fall begining with Elk then switching to their preferred Whitetail hunts. So, between clients, I try to put some meat in the freezer.
