NS whitetail
This happened to me last Wed. when we were out fishing, it was the first day of a 3 day fishing trip. One split second of not paying attention and bam -- I was hooked --- 100 miles from home and two more days to fish -- I just had to suck it up It happened so fast --- went in and tore right out that I never even felt it till an hour or so later when it came to I had a camera out with me, took great pictures of tuna and sharks and also got a pic of my hand right after it happened --- went today to pick up my pics and the photo lab ruined the film ( I was not happy )

buckee
OUCH..I felt that Lewis. Them hooks are pretty dangerous, when your setting out long-line. I've come close a few times. That looks nasty Hope you heal up real quick

buckee
the wife would let me take the digital out fishing Luke -- she makes me take the ol' fashion kind of camera I don't blame her, in a way. That salt water and air can be devistating on electronic equipment. But you already know that. You should try to pick up a cheap second hand one for fishing. buckbuster11
Ouch, that looks like some pain. I got a rusted jitterbug hook buried in my thumb once. One of my buddies tried yanking it out about as hard as he could with a pair of pliers. Wouldn't budge. I had to go to the ER where they finally tore it out with a big knife and a pair of bolt cutters. Not fun.

Bachflock
Bummer about the film! Sorry about the hand... buddy of mine and I were out salmon fishing a couple of years ago. He was trying to pull the hook out of a 8 pounder when he got hooked. Flopping fish with the hook buried nicely in his thumb... yup, not a pretty sight!
