SuperMn106
What is everyones opinion on this? I think he got the bad end of the deal. I watched it on sportscenter this morning and he was leading when the yellow came out and then got spun, but you cannot ignore NASCAR. http://sports.espn.go.com/rpm/news/story?seriesId=2&id=2962002
Chrud
Whether he got the bad end of a deal or not, what he did from the final restart on was total bullcrap. He was told to move back in the running order and didn't. The race should have never been restarted if the running order wasn't correct. He then takes out the leader and goes on to ruin Harvick's celebration. Wrong end of the deal or not, he's a real loser in my book. Should he have a problem with not beind scored 1 or 2 on the last restart? Maybe. But, there is no excuse for what he did.

I no longer have respect for him. NASCAR just lost my respect also.
spyderpancake
He definitely screwed up by ignoring the black flag, but i think that he got hosed by nascar. I appreciate the fact that he is running his own team, being competitive in today's cup series. He wants to succeed so bad, really wanted that win for his team, and got it stolen from him. Not saying that he was right in acting stupid, but I'm not sure that i would have reacted any differently! Hey, the man is a racer, and if this was the 1970s and 80's he would be hugely popular, but today everybody wants bland, PC drivers, and while fans claim that they want personality, when a true racer comes along, he gets ripped up by the fans. Judging by the reaction of our canadian friends in the grandstands, they got their money's worth!
VABuckSlayer
Gordon got the shaft by NASCAR. I don't agree with what he did afterwards but I understand why he did it. He should have won that race. Eric
MagnoliaHunter
CRAPCAR should have blackflagged "yappyapp mouth" harvick when he caused the wreck by t-boning the 41. Robby got screwed he should have been either 1st or 2nd depending on when the caution came out. There is no way in H@#$, he should have been put back in 12th or 13th or whatever. To say he was put back there because he didnt maintain speed when he was spun out, is one most idiotic ruling i have ever heard. That sounds like something out of our massively screwed up court system. I would have done what he did, up until he spun Ambrose. But I can understand why he did it. I have watched CRAPCAR for over 30 years and been to over 200 races, and i am done with their stupidity. I had to live with them letting Idiot SR(the 3 car) wreck any and everybody. Then they changed to the chase so the the pampered prince(jr) could be in the championship hunt. Well he still wasnt good enough so they changed the rules again to 12 cars in the chase, never thought i would be chearing for Busch, but go Kurt. But now that he isnt going to make it again what will the number allowed in the chase be next year in an attempt get him in. At least this will free up alot of time on the weekends to go to the shooting range.
dg
Like it or not, I thought it was cool. It'll cost him some probably in the way of missing the race on Sunday, but he stood up for what he thought was right and I can appreciate that. Harvick was pushed into the grass and then not given a lane in to the next turn so when 2 cars are trying to get in to the same lane somethings gonna happen. 2. Jr. made the chase last year, stewart didn't there has only been 1 year that he didn't make except maybe this one. 3. the reason they made it 12 was b/c of the big corporate sponsors not making the race b/c there drivers weren't good enough for that year(home depot) 4.Robby Gordon should of won that race and it was a stupid ruling by nascar. MagnoliaHunter
no harvick wasnt pushed into the grass, they bumped side to side. I just went and watched that part again. you can hear in on the incar camera, he nails the gas and t-bones the 41. He also gets back on the gas when he rams the 88 in the second one. In any other form of racing, he would have been blackflagged and Robby would have gotten his spot back, either 1st or 2nd, depending on when the caution came out and none of this would have happened. This is all on CRAPCAR. Last year with tony was the final straw, but jr not making it the year before had alot to do with the changes. You are right he did make it the other years though. Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
caught it on sportscenter..thought it was pretty darn funny!
Bowhntr
I think that it is funny that NASCAR will sit out a lowbudget low fan base driver like Robby Gordon for ignoring a black flag...BUT they will only slap a high profile driver like Kurt Busch with a fine and a points penalty for INTENTIONALLY HITTING SOMEONE ON PIT ROAD. IMO punishment sorta don't fit the crimes.
