VermontHunter
If he is experincing this much arrow speed lose he has more problems than he thinks. The whisker Bisquit will not affect flight or speed where it's noticeable....If I were you I would snatch it up in a hurry..
VTbowman
Re: whisker biskut aff. speed or flite i need to know? The old style (all black biscut) will cause 2-3 fps loss. It can also be a bit more harsh on vanes and feather over a long period of time. The newer B2 (brown and black biscut) looses less then 1 fps and is 10x softer then the all black and therefore has no effect on vanes or feather as far as wearing is concerned. As far as accuracy goes. I would put it up against any drop-away rest out there.. JMO If he is selling it or giving it to you because he feels it is effecting his speed then tell him it does so you can get a great rest for cheap or free! LOL Like Vermonthunter said, if he is seeing problems, its not set up right.
Straight Shooter
Re: whisker biskut aff. speed or flite i need to know? Actually, the biscuit doesn't slow down the arrow at all, if the bow is tuned right. I agree about the older version of the biscuit, but the newer is a head above it. A helical shot 4 fps faster than a straight fletch out of a biscuit, if that tell you anything about fletching contact through a biscuit. You tune it right and you've got one of the best rest one the market.
LifeNRA
Re: whisker biskut aff. speed or flite i need to know? I like my bisquit!!! I have a Parker Pheonix 34 Outfitter. It shoots arrows blazing fast! Iwould like to cornograph it sometime. But they tell me its around 300 fps. But I want to see that for my self! Maybe he should get a re-placement bisquit for it before he dumps it off!
Switchback29A1
Re: whisker biskut aff. speed or flite i need to know? Snatch it up....i shoot a new B2 and absolutely love it....put 3 small dabs of glue on the end of your fletches just for peace of mind, and have the best rest ever. robk
Re: whisker biskut aff. speed or flite i need to know? wb if you have to shoot it then buy the aluminum bisquit so you don't get constantcontact thru out the arrow length. this will help some of the problems that come with a full contact containment rest. take a look at the mirage dropaway rest form golden key futura. it will hold the arrow beyond 90 degrees and the pick up arm will bring it to dead center when youcome to full draw. great hunting reat and you don't have to worry about fletching wear and contact of any brushes against the arrow rob k
VermontHunter
Re: whisker biskut aff. speed or flite i need to know? I am by any means a proffessional Archer or have the knowledge of bows and equipment many in here posess, but to me drop-aways are way too mechanical with too many moving parts for my liking. Like the old saying goes and is usually true and that is "Keep it simple stupid". To me shot placement outweights the need for speed. Even the fastest bows today can't out react a deers movement, so this tells me that shot placement and the timing of the shot are more inportant than speed...(JMO)
