TreeWalker
A customer I recently sold a LR digital cam to, has a problem with the cam, and wondering if any of you had possibly had a similar problem......out of the 30-40 LR cams I have had through the years, this is the only one I have had any problems with....I can't help thinking it is simple...........here's what he says: Clay I finally got around to trying out the cameras this past week. One of them works great, I actually got a picture of a decent buck on it. THe other one is giving me fits. All I get are pictures that are totally whited out .. even the ones that were taken in the middle of the night come out totally washed out. I'm hoping you can give me a hint about what is wrong? I checked the setting for timing and it shows the Clock (24 hour operations) and the Exposure Value setting is set for Auto. Still no luck. I just looked on the website and cant even find any contact info for their service department? I sent an email requesting more info and hopefully a phone #. Thanks Marty Do you guys think you may have any ideas, or may have run into this before ??? Clay
wtnhunt
Sounds like the white balance is off Clay. If he let the cam sit or if it was without batteries for any length of time it should have returned to the default settings, but may not have, possible the camera may appear to be at the defaults and is really not. Probably the best thing for him to do is to reset it to the factory defaults and start over. The ev setting should also be at zero.
JamesVee
I've had the same trouble with one of my LR cameras. This is what the pictures look like: You can adjust the balance all you want, but half of the pictures I had from that cam were washed out.
