The NFL is almost here....

I'm just sitting here, reading some articles on clevelandbrowns.com and it just hit me that they play their first preseason game this Saturday. It's been too long, and I can't wait. As a Browns fan, eagerly waiting for the start of football season is a lot like counting the days to your next root canal...but what can I say, I'm a Browns flunky.:D

I'm just waiting for the Sept. 9th home opener against those criminals from Pittspuke. As you guys know, there are a few "Stillers" fans among us. You probably know who they are, but in case you're not familiar, they're the guys who don't realize they're team's mediocre and think they're actually contenders (even if you remind them of the 8-8 record, they still don't get it...I know, I know:o:o).

Anyway, I think the Browns will be improved this year (sort hard not to improve from 4 wins, ya know) but with the new OC and the still remaining question mark that is the starting QB spot, I'd like to see them get a few games under their belt before we get into he division matchups, but I have to try this next line out of tradition, if nothing else.

So, John...friendly wager, whadda ya say???:)

Yeah, last night's came proved a lot...like say for example, the Steelers 3nd and 4th string guys are better than the Saints 3nd and 4th string guys.:o Oh yeah, the guys the Steelers are going to cut are better than the guys the Saints are going to cut too. Good point DB.;):)

As far as the bet goes, I'm thinking an avatar thing would fun...even though I'd hate to see that stupid flag waving next to my name, but hey, after all that would be the point, right? I'm definitely getting the points spread though. My days of making outrageous sports bets, for the sake of outrageous sports bets are over.:D

I didn't know the Colts played in Michigan?:o That, or I didn't know the Lions won the Super Bowl.:confused:

I live in Cleveland, so I root for the Browns. Even though they've sucked for a long time.;):D

Ha ha. . . I hear you!

I grew up in Indiana and have always loved football. When the Colts came to town (back in 1984, in the middle of the night under cover), I was thrilled to no end that we finally had a pro team in the state. So, I feel your pain of being a long-time fan without a big win. . . hang in there, I did with the Colts, and they finally did it! :D

As for those poor Lions. . . that would be my husband's team, and a Super Bowl victory for them any time soon? . . . while it gets cold in Michigan, I don't think it gets cold enough for, well, you know. . . .

Guest COACH J.
While you two bicker over your two loser teams, I look forward to Thursday night when my beloved team plays preseason ball at Dallas. Oh, I'm sorry, did I forget to mention that my team is the defending SUPERBOWL CHAMPS!?
MY COWBOYS ARE 5 TIME SUPPERBOWL CHAMPS! I like the colts since Peyton did play for THE UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE!! But gota root for my COWBOYS hopefully we can beat them like we did in the regular season last year! That was the highlight of our season last year:D:p
