Jeramie
I heard yesterday that Oklahoma has changed the harvest totals and sexes. I went to www.wildlifedepartment.com but couldn't find the harvest information?! Typically its easy but not today. I couldn't find it anywhere. Has anyone else heard this? From what I was told you can only shoot 2-bucks all season (total). You can shoot two does during ML season. There was other stuff but I dont remember. What has everyone heard? Gator
Yup, 2 bucks ALL YEAR. They want to improve the age structure of the herd, but sorry, I don't see that happening. If a guy is gonna shoot a littgle buck, he is gonna shoot it, no matter what. And since most deer are killed during BP and Rifle, who is this gonna effect the most? Jeramie
I agree Jason. I dont think it will do everything. I do see it helping a little but they wont see ground breaking changes. They need a point rule and we would be set.
jerdanmagic
This is news to me! I'd much rather see an "Earn a Buck" program set up over this kind of rule. Anybody have a link for this new regulation?

Anybody have a link for this new regulation? Good luck finding one. Ive been through the sight and cant find the up to date regulations anywhere. There is also a lot of changes pertaining to the harvest of does. Everyone might want to double and triple check everything before October 1st. hutchies
Here it the link to the regulation.......... http://www.wildlifedepartment.com/regs/huntregs4.htm Combined Season Limit The combined season limit for deer archery, youth deer gun, deer muzzleloader and deer gun seasons is no more than six (6) deer per individual. This limit may include no more than two (2) antlered deer. Deer taken by hunters participating in special antlerless deer gun seasons or controlled hunts are not included in the hunter’s combined season limit. Also in my zone they opened all of ML and Rifle to doe harvest at any time during the season.
Jeramie
So you can actually kill one more doe now. The total (including the bonus hunt) has been seven for years. It remains at seven only with two bucks instead of three. Thats five does... Good lands, that seems a bit excessive.
hutchies
They are trying to increase the age of the bucks. You don't see many bucks make it over 2-3 years old here. I was for the 2 buck rule but that was under the thinking that they weren't gonna open up doe days. We are actually lucky here. Where we hunt in TX we can only kill 1 buck.
