Re: Copper John sigts vs. Trophy Ridge your thoughts

They are both excellent sights. BUT, the Trophy Ridge is not a target sight, it's one heck of a hunting sight. The Copper John is good for either one. I've been shooting Copper John for the last few years and love them on my hunting set-up. I have to give the brighter sights to the Matirix's. I personally don't care for the vertical pin alignment. But, that just preferance and my opinion.

I own both sights and I think the CJ is by far the better sight! You would think that TR would use a little more metal instead of plastic, and the fiber optics should not loop unprotected out of the bottom of the sight housing.

While I love verticle pins for archery, I took one look at the TR and went with something else. The CJ is a lot stronger, but it is of the horizontal design. If you are wanting a verticle pin, I suggest checking out the Vital Bow Gear sights.

Re: Copper John sigts vs. Trophy Ridge your though

I'm biased I got my TR back when they where made better IMO. I've had one problem with mine I dropped it out of a tree stand(long story) it broke the bracket. I got the replacement part and hooked it up using the markings on the site, i was dead on. thing held its zero so i cant complain. I've looked at the new TR sites...and to be honest i think id rather get the CJ now. I've beat up my TR but it is an older model(Matrix three pin ) but the newer models just look like junk!!
