Guest Thunderhead67
Has anyone shot these? I've shot nothing but the Thunderhead 125 for the last 15 years. The only down side is having to move your sights when going from broadheads to fieldpoints and vise versa. To me, that's the only appeal of the mechanical heads. The fixed blade heads are alot more dependable than the mechanical heads. I've heard too many horror stories of mechanical heads not working properly or people getting poor penetration because of malfunctioning problems. The Slick Trick is a fixed blade head that is supposed to fly like a field tip. It could be the perfect head. I've read info on their web-site and it seems to be the head of choice for alot of the big game hunters going to Africa. It has German steel blades. If it's good enough for a Cape Buffalo, it should be perfectly fine for a deer.
