Guest COACH J.
Quinn is good but overrated! Not even the best QB in the draft.
buckbuster11
Good gosh muggs you managed to look pathetic once again. Look at you slurping up Quinn like he's the next coming of Vinny Testeverde when you spent the last 2 years bashing Quinn every chance you got while he was at ND. Unbelieveable. Just remember, when Quinn turns out to be a good QB....I told you so.
muggs
Don't get me wrong...I have my doubts about the kid. But he's a Brown now so he's got my full support, and I'm hoping for the best.
buckbuster11
Well I hope for your sake he gets off the arm roids before he loses all mobility in them.
muggs
Not on roids, just a gym freak. Now, Kellew Winslow...that a different story.
toddyboman
How come no body on muggs' teams do roids, but every other sports player is doing them....:confused:
muggs
How come no body on muggs' teams do roids, but every other sports player is doing them....:confused: last time I checked, Kellen Winslow plays for the Browns Toddy. And in case you didn't know, I'm some what of a Browns fan. if you know what you're looking at, you can pick out a roid hound pretty easily. On Bonds, he's a roid hound. buckbuster11
Your not a browns fan......... Heck I always thought you was a big Steeler fan. Shhh....he doesn't want everybody here to know that.
toddyboman
Maybe just limiting it to roids was bad, maybe I should have said if the player is on your team they can do no wrong... My point is you think EVERY sports player thats not on your team does not wrong..... How many Indians players have you stated are on roids...None they are just country strong:rolleyes:..... If Quinn was on any other team you would be ripping him to shreds too. We all know and remember the Oden discussions.:D
muggs
Shhh....he doesn't want everybody here to know that. All I need is to get myself sick on food and beer to develop the Pittstahn gut, take the pliers to a few of my front teeth, and then go lose myself in a friggin' coal mine for a year or two and I'll be right there with ya Johnboy. buckbuster11
BTW----Travis Hafner is all jacked up on beefroids...let's just make that clear.
toddyboman
NO Hafner is just "country strong"!!!
muggs
BTW----Travis Hafner is all jacked up on beefroids...let's just make that clear. Could be, everyone is suspect at this point. Really though, I'd say a guys like Jim Thome and Hafner are natural. I could go on and on about how you can tell, but I don't feel like writing a book (albeit, sometimes it's necessary to get through to some of you:rolleyes:). To put it simply, by lifting you can either gain a lot of muscle mass with little definition, or you can gain a lot of definition but with mininal gains in mass. When you see a guy that adds huge amounts of muscle mass and gets cut up to boot....ladies and gents, we've got ourselves a roid hound. That's almost fool proof, and of course, there will be the occassional exception to the rule (like say the guy who consumes 200 grams of protein a day, all while lifting 2-3 hours a day, 6 days per week- which, when you're playing a 162 game schedule that spans 6 months is very difficult to do, don't ya think?). I also think that you have to seriously look at guys who've had serious drops in production like a Scott Rolen and a Bobby Abreu as suspect. Also, guys who had fluke power years like Ivan Rodriguez, Abreu again, Brady Anderson (no question really).
buckbuster11
Ivan Rodriguez is the most obvious of all by a country mile. Look at a picture of that guy 3-5 years ago and he is ripped, huge. About a year after the steroids scandal broke, he lost about 40 pounds and looked like a bean pole. Still does. That guy was using, no question in my mind. muggs
Yup. There are a lot of guys like that. All of a sudden they shrink and they're go from 40+ bombs to 20. I think Brady Anderson is the most obvious though. A punch-and-judy hitter who comes out of nowhere to rip 50 bombs. Most be that hand-eye-coordination everyone uses to support Barroid, yeah, that's the ticket.
