Guest GCBORNHUNTER
Hey guys. I'm pretty new to bow hunting. Last year was my first year out in the field consistently with a bow. I purchased a PSE Mach X from one of their reps. I've had it set up for me with a 31" draw and either 60 or 70 pounds, I can't remember which is supposed to be shooting almost 310 FPS. I love thequietness and smoothness of the bow. I bought some arrows last year at Dick's and cut them myself. They flew ok but not as consistent as I know I can shoot. (I've shot friend's bows my entire life but just never hunting.) I'm looking into purchasing some arrows that I can stick with. What would you all recommend? I'm also considering shooting the new Rage 2 sided broadheads. I've also thought I would go with blazer vanes. What do you all think? What type of arrow ( I know I want carbon) and weight would all recommend? Thanks guys.
VermontHunter
Most any carbon arrow will fill the ticket for ya .. ;) The 2 major brands that I use would be the Gold Tip XT or the Carbon Express Maxima Hunter .. And unless you have a High speed arrow cutter I would highly recommend that you have a pro shop cut and square your shafts for ya this time .. Good Luck ... Switchback29A1
Beman ICS 400's are good, As much as i don't like the new design the Easton Epic 400's are still a good arrow, or if you wanted to go to a smaller diameter...i'm shooting Easton Axis 400's. wildthing
I use Carbon Express and haven't had any issues with them. I to was thinking about using Rage. Currently I shoot Muzzy's. I would recommend going to you local pro shop and get everything set up...especially the arrows being cut.
