Anybody Ever Used Block Topper?

I am desperate for some way to try and attract/keep deer on my hunting property. I have exclusive rights to 300 acres of prime farmland but the hunters on the bordering property are blatantly baiting the deer to their stands, even though it is illegal here. I actually saw one of the guys with a pallet of bags of corn in the back of his truck (a ton of corn??!!!!!!!). He doesn't have cattle or horses so there is no other reason for him to be buying corn by the ton other than to bait deer. In talking with a few of them they have inadvertantly admitted they bait, so I know it is an issue. Last year my son and I hunted every day of firearms season and never saw a single deer, not even a doe.

The land owner has approved me putting in a few very small food plots and I have planted some New Zealand rape and turnip patches but they are only a few hundred square feet in size (the largest is 50x50). I am trying to figure out a way to draw the deer back into the area without getting my own truckload of corn. I figure that once they find my food plots they will make regualr visits and be less likely to abandon the area for the piles of corn on bordering properties.

I was in WalMart and saw they have Block Topper. I saw it demonstrated on a show on MOR and figured it was worth a try and bought two boxes of it. I was curious if anyone has ever tried it and how well it worked. How long did it last? Was it more effective than just putting out salt/mineral blocks?

I have no intentions of hunting over the Block Topper and mineral blocks but my hope is that the combination of food plots and mineral blocks will be enough to keep the deer in the area.

at my grandmothers houseyou can not hunt over bait, but you can hunt trails leading to bait but u have to be 200 yards away with a bow and not baiting with rifle at all

Minerals are a great supply of nutrition for the deer but it is not a supplement for corn ... 2 different approaches ... the food plots are your best opportunity to attract and keep the deer year round .... there is no way that the guy next to you gets EVERY single deer ... have you scouted your property for signs of deer ... I mean there has to be some trails that go through your property ... try setting up some cameras on them and hunt them ... the most important place for you to be is between the bedding and the food ... period
