wtnhunt
The wife has been bugging me to get a 3 d target for her to practice and I have not found any locally other than one at wal mart I did not really like much. For whatever reason none of the shops around here have them in stock yet, or they have sold out of them. Cabelas has several, but not sure which one to get. Want to keep the price down as much as possible. I like the glenn dell, but dont really want to spend $160 plus the extra shipping, cabelas has the morrell bionic buck target on sale now for $119 which is closer to my price range. Dont think I like the morrell target though, does not look like the shooting area is replaceable? They also have a mckenzie tuff buck with layered insert for $89, which sounds good, but have to kind of wonder about the quality of that target. Anyone have any experience with the tuff buck or any other targets in the $80-$120 price range?
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
i ahve a couple deltas...have had good luck with them...one is about 4 or 5 years old, and other than being outside year round, it's still ok, the other i just got last year, and again, it is a bit wore from the rain and snow we get up here, but other than replacing the insert, its still in good shape...i used to leave them in the garage, but setting them up and taking em down everytime i wanted to shoot got to be a pain. Ditto. I do try and take mine in after season.
Swamphunter
William, I always had a McKenzie and loved them....with aluminums. Carbons takes an act of God and a prayer to get the arrow out. I am not sure about the newer ones though. I still have an older model as I don't shoot at it nearly as much due to the arrow removal grief.
wtnhunt
Thanks guys, guess I will take a look at the deltas too before making a decision.
MCH
You might give R & W targets a look over too, William. Here's there addy: R & W Targets. If you were looking in the $150 range I could get you a good Mckenzie target that has been shot on one side only. Normally $300.
BearClaw
I use the Delta Backyard Buck Legend and have used it for several years with the replaceable vitals. The arrow are fairly easy to get out it it's been pretty sturdy. Broadheads will chew it up pretty quick but most 3-D's are probably pretty much the same. If I had to buy another, I'd certainly give that one a priority.
