Tominator
Was watching the PGA just now, and they were interviewing some players on how they are dealing with the heat. Daly responded with: "well, I drink some water which I hate to do, but other than that, diet cokes and smoke about a pack and half of cigarettes and keep going as best you can..." Thought that was pretty funny. After that, they cut away to the play and they showed Cabrera having all kinds of trouble on #6 I think it was. Par 3 he was OB 2 times in a row, 5th shot went in the water, 7th finally on and was putting for a snowman. LOL.

Guest Wackmaster17
Daly's quote was pretty funny, but when they were showing a few players on the practice green, their shirts were just soaked! They are lucky the humidity was only 35% today or there would have been some players suffering from heat stroke.
buckbuster11
Yup, leave it to Daly. I got a feeling guys like him aren't going to last though. Nice first round, but there is no way you can survive 4 days of that heat smoking a pack and a half a round and drinking diet cokes.

If you can survive a 2am steak knife attack from your wife and still make your 8:22am tee time, you can do anything.

LMAO True dat. If y'all haven't heard John's press conference on ESPN this morning, do yourself a favor, tune in. It was hilarious. The gem IMHO was when someone asked if he could sustain his play and he said "if a course only had 14 holes, I would have won 17 tournaments in the last year and a half." Some other good ones in there too.

Tominator
He's really a piece of work. I heard he skipped the practice rounds to gamble at a nearby casino. Yup. He said they closed their course and let him practice from 10 to 1 yesterday (Wednesday). He didn't practice the year he won his first PGA either. Drove all night and showed up as a 9th alternate or something like that. He's no doubt the crowd favorite. Did you hear is comment that he's in better shape than Tiger? Tominator
No, but I want to. Tell on.... That was it. ESPN had a mess of little sound bites, that was one of them. Another funny one was his shoulder popping back into place.

VABuckSlayer
You know... John Daly is a mess but I can't help but pull for the guy. I hope he can do well in this tournament and get his life back together! Eric
Steven
I like John because rather than the investment firms most other golfers have as sponsors, he has 84 Lumber and Hooters.
