nemodeerhuntersneighbor
You don't have to. I know that they recommend taking batteries out when not in use, but if you leave them in you can switch to them when your external battery needs recharged and keep your camera rolling. One thing I have noticed with stealth cams is that when using external battery the battery meter on the display doesn't work. You will check it one time and it will say full battery and come back after a couple days later and only a handful of pics and it will be dead. So it's good to have some extra batteries with you when you check it or leave them in.
