Guest bowhuntr_15
Thats a great 8 point! I would have to say around close to 130 with the long main beams and looks to be pretty wide with decent mass and hardly any deductions! Very nice buck though!! okbowman
120-130" nice buck!!
wtnhunt
Nice buck. Would guess he might make the upper 120's to low 130's.

wtnhunt
Nice buck, but no need really to post this in 2 rooms. Upper 120's, possbily into the low 130's.

Guest COACH J.
Need some advice on my situation? The buck in those pics looks to be around 3 years old. I would say he is a shooter but he would be a great deer next year! We have a lil over 300 acres and we have an 8 point or better rule except on the youth hunt days and most of the guys around us do the same.I have been seeing him alot on our property almost every day!Given the chance would you take him or take a chance that another hunter wont get him and let him walk untill next year????Rememer down here you dont see bucks like this everywhere! There is 4 of us plus a guest or 2 every now and then and me and my brother are the only 2 that have killed a good buck almost every year. pointing_dogs_rule
If you do not see bucks like that down there then this may be your best opportunity. With that stated he will not get any bigger if he is in your freezer. What ever makes you happy. The score. Very nice deer, however, he lacks the mass and width to score high. It takes a nice eight to score more than 130. If he had more mass and width then yes. He will fall about 123-126. Good luck on your season. Good luck to all the dog

nemodeerhuntersneighbor
The best way to get more deer like that and bigger in your area is to pass them up. Great deer for a child but if you have already killed a nice deer or two let him walk. He's definetely a nice deer but you'll feel just as good if you pass him than if you shot him. rhine16
I dont think he's over 115 to be honest, but he's a good deer for these parts. I'm not sure that i could pass, because what are the other hunters gonna do? and your neighbors? But will you be happy with him?

I try to hold out or at least used to try to hold out for 3.5 year old or better here, which has now become a joke. Just 4 or 5 years ago, with holding out, there was actually hope that a mature deer would be possible, and I killed my fair share of mature bucks and does around here in the past. Now I just dont see it, not here, not anymore. This area has been so badly over hunted the past 3-5 years or so that the deer herd is on its way to being decimated. Really it depends on your area, the neighboring hunters, and on what you want out of your own hunting experience. For me now, my focus of late has been more about getting my kids and my wife on deer. Deer like the one in the pic you have comes out in front of me here knowing what I know about this area and how it is overhunted, I would be a fool not to shoot it.
