I got a pair of the alpha burley;s back in 2005, they are the 1,000 gram ones. I couldnt be happier, comfy, long lasting and the best boot on the market in my opinion. I have just about worn out the liner, and Ill probly just buy a new pair after this season. Ive worn them for 2 hunting seasons and 2 icefishing seasons and my feet only got cold 1 time last year when icefishing, but it was like 30 below with the wind and I wasnt freezing just uncomfortable.

replacing rocky bear claws

I'm going to have to retire my Rocky Bear Claws this year. I've had them probably 4 or 5 years and this year, the sole is disintegrating (see other thread). It looks almost as if my dog has gnawed off most of the sole. I have really enjoyed these boots because they fit well (don't slip) and they have 1000 grams of thinsulate. So, the LaCrosse alphaburlys are looking really good to me. I've got a couple of questions: 1. Do they come in a 1000 gram thinsulate, I only see the 800 gram and, most importantly, 2. Do they fit snug and not slip? Every time I've worn rubber boots in the past I've had trouble with them slipping and rubbing. Thanks, Greg
