We just got back from a 3-day excursion to the west side of the state which included some time out on Lake Michigan for a little fishing. It was the kids' first time on the big water and, thanks to low waves, fun snacks and a deck of cards (plus their plain old love for being outside), the time was enjoyed by all. (Okay, Seabands and Dramamine may have entered the picture at some point. ) Unfortunately, we were skunked. Not one fish. Oh well, that's why it's called "fishing", not "catching", right? Still, it would have been nice to have brought in just one . . . . Again, I appreciate the birthday wishes from such an awesome group of people. . . I'm sure glad that I made the choice to visit the forums for the first time back in June. I'm even more glad that I decided to take my coat off and stay a while.
