I use beeman ics 400 also but mine have 3" helical feathers

but if you are looking for a good arrow to shoot go to the pro shop and find the one that shoots the best with the setup you are using ie. helical vains or feathers have a higher likelyhood of hitting your arrow rest unless of course you usa a good fallaway this will cause the arrow to jump at the rear throw off the flight so find an arrow that works best for the setup you have and dont be afraid to try something different

I shoot 2" Blazer vanes on XX78 shafts. The 2" vanes are great if you are concerned with vane clearance. As far as hunting goes, the XX78 aluminum shafts are the way to go IMO. I turn my broadheads to all line up the same in relation to my vanes. You can put direct heat on aluminum and turn the heads. Carbon arrow inserts are put in with fletching glue rather than hot glue. You can't put direct heat on a carbon shaft. You have to screw a field tip in 2/3 way and put the heat on the tip. It will transfer through to the insert and will let it turn. Problem is, fletching glue will not reset after it's been heated up. Hot glue will reset over and over. From a hunting standpoint, the aluminum arrows are more user friendly. If you are determined to shoot carbon, have the inserts put in with hot glue. At least they will reset. It just takes time to go back and forth between heating up a field tip and screwing it out and screwing in a broadhead all before the glue cools down.
