Anyone ever gotten these? There are 3 stages to heat Injury, Heat Cramps, Heat Exhaustion, and Heat Stroke. Think I got a case of the cramps Sat. We had a company party out at the lake, drank a TON of water. Left there and went to the old place to gather the rest of my things and to move the camper. About half way to my destination, had a flat. Here it is 5 o'clock, and I am on the side of the road changing a tire:mad:. Got that done, headed to the store and bought some water, sucked on it a bit, then the cramps hit. Thought I was gonna hurl. Still had cramps when I went to bed at midnight. So EVERYONE, make sure you drink PLENTY of water!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, have gotten the cramps many times before, worked outside a good part of this past weekend, but kept well hydrated. Cannot drink too much water when it is hot like it is now. If you have to be working outside, keep hydrated and take plenty of breaks, be careful out there.

Supposed to hit 105 here again today and again for the next two days. Then we get a break with it back down around 100

About 8-9 years ago I got heat exhaustion! I actually passed out! Luckily for me a friend live near by. I knocked on his door, he got me in I asked for a big glass of cold water and wet towels. I knew if I stopped sweating, it was the beginning of heat stroke! I sipped the water SLOWLY. I felt nausea, and thought a few times I was gonna puke. Its a horrible feeling, and it doesn't go away fast. I was on my bicycle, even thought it was warm outside I had plenty of water, two bottles. When I passed out the bicycle landed on my chest, I also banged the back of my head. I never went to work that night.

If you must be in this heat working, not just water alone, drink Gatorade as well!!!

Gatorade seems to do more for me than water when it comes to relieving cramps.

Ben

now that's the ticket! water alone will not cure cramps. i don't care how much you drink, you can still cramp up and get sick. you need something with sugars in it. gatorade was specially designed for that. so are many others. but please.... do not think lots of water will keep you hydrated. it will not.:o
