Hunting Setup Complete

Well, today I took a trip down to Kinsey's Outdoors to see our family friend Mike that works there. As some of you might have saw in my other post I was having trouble finding Gold Tip XT Hunter 3555 carbon arrows around here, but Kinsey's ended up having them in my size. He helped me get my bow into its final setup for hunting. I switched out my Whisker Biscuit for a QAD Ultra-Rest Pro LD Drop Away and my Easton XX75 Camo Hunter aluminum arrows for some GoldTip XT Hunter 3555 carbon arrows. He also gave the bow itself a quick check-up and a few tweaks to get my sight setup for the new arrows. He also took my pounds up 4 turns on the limbs to get me close to my desired hunting weight. I'll turn them a few more times as I get comfortable with the new weight until I reach 45# or above. My bow shoots great now and I can really tell the difference with the new drop-away. :D

If that was mike myers helping you out, there is none better...looks good...

Indeed it was him. He's an awesome guy. My father has known him quite a long time now (I can remember when I was little going with dad to 3D shoots with Mike and a few of their other friends). :D We dropped my father's bow off for a new string while I was getting mine setup the other day. Mike's custom strings are awesome. That'll probably be my "to-do" for next year is get a custom string made by him for my bow. I might also end up switching up next year to one of his Predator View peep sights. I was looking at them while there and I like the concept behind them. That's next year though, as far as this year I only have a treestand and some scouting left to do before season, otherwise I'm ready to go. ;)
