Guest beardsNspurs
Hey fellas. I was wonderin if any of you could make some suggestions as far as bowsights go. I'm looking into getting a new one for the year that is more "lowlight" friendly then the one I currently use. I've looked at some and have done some research but thought I'd ask here. What is a good, or the best, site to use in lowlight (early morning or late evening) conditions? Thanks guys!
okiedog
From what I have seen, there are a few sights that do have alittle bit better brightness than others. You might look into a sight with extended, or coiled fibers to gather a bit more light. That being said.... I am not happy with any of the factory fibers I have seen. Every sight I get, 1st thing I do before putting it on the bow is yank the old fibers out and replace with aftermarket FITZ fibers. Once you see a properly done set of aftermarket fibers, you will do the same also. It is truly amazing how bright they can be.
cshofner
I went to a Trophy Ridge a couple of years ago. In my opinion the vertical pin set up helps in low light conditions.
Tony
Spott Hogg Bare Bones 5 pin sight. with the .019 pins its super bright and easy to use. i have one on my hunting bow and it simply tough as nails easy to set up and easy to get replacementm fibers if you mangle one. it also wont set you back a bunch of cash either. they run around 50 bucks. Guest beardsNspurs
I suppose I should have included where to get these sights that you are recommending? That would probable help in being able to purchase one

M00N
I shoot a TruGlo Tru-Site Xtreme 5-Pin sight with sight light. It has the outer protected wrapped fibers that allow them to collect more light and be brighter, it also has a glow-in-the-dark shooter ring, windage and elevation adjustments, vertical level, and sight light that doesn't shine on the pins (causes glare) and instead shines on the fibers inside the outer housing. It runs you about $45 or less depending on where you purchase the sight. I absolutely love the sight!
