rossman
I picked up a Ross Cardiac this summer and started shooting broadheads three weeks ago. I had a terrible time paper tuning my bow and my broadheads were all over the place. So I brought it down to my proshop to see if he could help me out. He couldn't paper tune it either. So we sprayed some powder on the whisker buskit rest to see if th earrows were hitting the rest. And they were! My arows were hitting the lower right part of the ring of the whisker buiscuit. So, my proshop guy talked me into shooting a ripcord dropaway. So I agreed and he put it on and we were able to paper tune it. But now, I am getting some arows that are off when I shoot. The fletchings are not hitting the lowere right side of the ripcord rest. Now I'm beyond the point of frustrated. Could the bow be the issue? So, have any of you had any issues with the Ross Cardiac? I love the bow and love the way it shoots but I can fifure out why my arows are being pushed down and to the right? And the kicker is, I'm going out to Colorado in two weeks so I'm getting nervous. My proshop guy told me that the bow was paper tuned when it left the shop, but when we tried to paper tune it when I brought it back, we couldn't even get a tear within the fletchings. So, I starting to think he's full of poo? PLease help!!!!!--rossman
WVreddot870
My shop set my cardaic up with 3/4 of the arrow showing above the holes for your screws and I eyeballed my left and right----shooting good holes thru paper. Go to the Ross Forums---they have a bunch of posts on tuning your bow. What type of fletch are you shooting? I get good flight out of G5 Montecs and blazer veins with helical fletch----did not get good flight out of arrows fletched with straight veins---helical worked for me. Check out the Ross Forums. Tony
please post your whole setup here. the specs on the arrow type, arrow length, fletching type and length, bow poundage and tip weights. sounds like your string is strecthing and its out of tune each time. how long have you had the bow ? how long has the current string bee on it? if your bows shooting through paper fine one time and then its out of time later, something is moving. measure the distance from your peep to the top of your nocking point and the bottom of the nocking point. write those numbers down. also the timing on the rest could be out due to a little string stretch. check that. i know its kind of crazy to ask, but check each arrow that doesnt fly right. number your arrows and find out if its the same arrow each time. it could be a certain arrow and all it might need is the nock turned . get us those numbers so i can check spine and FOC. pictures can also help as to how the rest sits on your bow. Guest stealth1
Recently tried to tune two single cams bows with a drop away rest to no avail. Had the same problem as you are having. Recommend a shoot through rest like the NAP quick tune or a Whiker bisquit. Good Luck.
