Praying and Fingers Crossed....

I just got back from my Third interview in two weeks. I had one Monday and the last today.

The first wasnt much to talk about.

The second on Monday, I would design process equipment for refineries (what Im doing right now). The only difference is that I wouldn't have a boss. I would draw prints for a model shop to build a smaller, scale version of the equipment for testing. It would be an awesome job. I would be the only one in a 91 billion dollar company doing that job! Off every day at 4:30. Bonuses for jobs well done, etc. Lots of potential.

The second was today at 1:00. In that job I would be designing offshore and dry ground oil rigs for a fortune 500 company. I mentioned overtime and they told me they didn't work any. They boost your pay so much when you hire on that you will never need to work OT financially and it helps to keep their cost down in the long run. I would also have an opportunity to finish my engineering degree or pick up other 3D software experience. They told me they were looking to hire another (permanent). Before I walked out I was led to believe they were very interested. They had tried to hire that position once before and turned down everyone. They were impressed with me and it looks really good. Hours are completely flexible. As long as you get 40 a week do whatever you want. Plus you can leave at 12:00 every Friday in the summer time. I would occasionally have to fly to a rig for schematics but that would be few and far between. Right off I would get to spend a few days in the yard in Houston learning the equipment and such.

Im now waiting on callbacks from each company. This could and will be a huge opportunity for me and my family. The retirement in both is amazing and I could literally be raking retirement money in (reaching the hundreds of thousands) in just over 5-years.

Now its a race to see who gets an offer to me and where God sends me. I just pray that God leads me as he always has. Both jobs would reduce my stress level to almost nothing... I have a lot of praying to do now. Im expecting answers from both next week.
