I am sponsored by Griswold Archery... To be honest I had never ever seen him before. He heard about me from people in the shop... I help him out in the shop and help advertise for him... He only asked for me to were a shirt and have fun shooting.

My uncle works with a guy who is sponsored by big name companies, Diamond, Carbon Xpress, Truglow, NAP

it took him years of shooting to get where he is at you need to perform and perform well in order to get top sponsorships.

For instance for Mathews to sponsor you, you need to be in like the top 5% of competition archers, hence that is why they can advertise they have won so many tourny's and such b/c they sponsor the BEST!!!

There is a BROAD area when it comes to having sponsors. If you shoot for a shop you could be on a co-op program. This is where you shoot through the shop for a company. Example is I'm a co-op shooter for hoyt through Buck Hollow sports. In order to become fully sponsored by a company then you will need to make some waves in SERIOUS shoots. Not just your local 3-D's or indoor shoots. I know of 2 Pro-staff shooters,

1 for Mathews and 1 for hoyt. These guys are in the shoot-off in vegas, have great scores at nationals, including the mathews shooter to get in the shoot-off at nationals.

A good thing to start doing is to print off all your accomplishments. Whenever you do good print off the results and keep them in a folder. When you try to get sponsorship you can show them these.
