gitcha_some
Im not an idiot ive been huntin my whole life, they shoot ducks that are stone dead till they hit the ground just to laugh at it, thats just messed up and stupid because they're just ruining all the meat.......and as for bringing phil robertson into this, i never even mentioned him so i dont know why someone brought it up to prove me wrong or whatever. I find his antics more disgusting then cruel to the animal, atleast hes respecting the animal by giving it a quick death, and not just shooting them to pieces for the fun of it

Date of Birth: April 23, 1988 Age: 19 Heres the problem, most guy's blow this whole video thing way out of proportion, this three hour video that took 5 1/2 months to film. Ok fine your entitled to your own opinions. Tell me one video on the market where someone hasnt done something that people dont like!. I can name quite a few where I seen something like this in all the videos out there from all the major call makers and do you here me complaining... No. These guy's are having a blast while hunting and who on this earth wouldnt want to hunt for 5 1/2 months straight, I sure would!. Laughing, hunting being with freinds makes this great sport what it is today. The one thing that gets my blood boiling the most is when people bring up ethics!. A true sportsman that calls himself ethical is really unethical by bad mouthing another sportsman. Ive been hunting as long as youve been alive, dont take this as a personal attack because its NOT, just my opinion.... Good luck this year and be safe ! Guest deekay
This is my first post here. I've been hunting ducks for 18 years. It is a passion and a tradition I am passing to my children. I've never met Jeff Foiles or Phil Robertson but friends who have met have never said anything negative about them. I believe the real concern here isn't whether the act on Foiles video is illegal. My concern is how actions like this define us as hunters. Maybe I've thought way too much about this but I've been taught that our actions define far more than our words. The concern for me and so far one I haven't heard addressed anywhere yet is what kind of ammo does this give to the "antis" among us. Waterfowlers are passionate people. Anyone who spends the kind of $$ we spend annually for the opportunity to shoot a few ducks would have to be a fanatic. The fanatics from PETA and the Humane Society are just as fanatical. Many of them can best be described as zealots. They look for every opportunity to find examples of illegality or brutality and then to paint us all with that broad brush. That's my concern. How does this make all of us look? Maybe I'm being paranoid but that .02.
Guest shoot2retrieve
You have good points dee! On this whole ordeal I'd sure take Jeff's word over others. Even if I end up on the wrong side, I'd take his word to support a hunter, that has so much to lose and no reason to take that chance. Plus, I love dogs and I would hate to see Hawk or any lab for that matter see their dad get into trouble. Sucks, that we even have to have a thread on this topic, but news whether true or not can travel so fast nowadays. But, good points by everyone!! dogdoc
gitcha--i'll have to disagree with you on this one. He clearly explains in his last video and actually instructs the other hunters in his blind to shoot them again on the way down. If you will look at the cover he is hunting at his club it is thick flooded corn. He is actually being a better hunter/conservationist by trying not to lose game and harvest every bird shot. A crippled duck in the flooded corn can be extremely hard to find--even with good dogs. As far as laughing---that's his way of celebrating a good shot--not any different then when hunting with your buddies and you shoot an animal and screaming or giving high fives. Hillbilly
Gitcha. Whats the difference of shooting a duck dead, than shooting a whitetail buck with a muzzleloader. If you shot a big whitetail buck and knocked him over "stone dead" you wouldn't give your buddies high fives and cheer your head off. If you say no then your lying to yourself. BowtechTurkeyHunter
this cracks me up ... I have watched other video with Jeff in them and he makes some "mistakes" but ppl who see A video on the internet crucify him ... like he said watch the other 1 hour and 58 mins and just enjoy it for what it is ... a great hunt ... its been my experience that the ppl who catch these things are good at catching them cause they themselves have done it before also ...
