Hillbilly
Just wondering what everyone thinks of these broadheads. I heard from many they have had great penetration and awesome blood trails. How about any of you? Are they top of your list in broadheads?? Thanks for advance answers or comments. buckee
Re: G5 Broadheads? Any opinions on these bad boyz. That's what I shoot now. Kind of nice having a one-piece broadhead. They have worked just great for me, with no problems. The other thing I like about them is you just screw em on and they shoot just like your fields tips. The diamond stone that comes with them is a must for good sharpening, since it is really hard to find a sharpener of that caliber and size, anywhere else. I love my G5's

Guest 2500HD
Re: G5 Broadheads? Any opinions on these bad boyz. I don't think you can even measure one broadhead penetrating or leaving a better blood trail can you? I shoot the G5's because they fly the best for my set up as they fly just like my field tips with no adjusting. Also they are tough as nails and can easily be resharpened and put right back in the quiver. Learning how to sharpen them is a key though as the stone gets them pretty good but if you use a 600-1500 gr sand paper on a flat surface you will see they get "shaving" sharp. Best broadheads I have used to date surpassing my Muzzy's and Spitfires I was using.
superguide
Re: G5 Broadheads? Any opinions on these bad boyz. Ty's Dad got some for X-mas last year but they ended up on Ty's arrows-imagine that lol. Anyway he's shot a couple deer with them and they worked awesome. ruttinbuc
Re: G5 Broadheads? Any opinions on these bad boyz. Have not tried those heads yet, but I did try the new RAZORCAPS. All I can say is WOW! Right out of the box! web page
Strut10
Re: G5 Broadheads? Any opinions on these bad boyz. I used the G5's this year. They fly unbelievably!!!!!!! Never saw anything like it. The jury is still out on the penetretion aspect. I had one victory and one failure this past season. I cannot say if the failure was due in part or at all to the broadhed. But I can't rule it out. I will continue to use them because of the way they fly until I can see futher results.
Guest Bama
Re: G5 Broadheads? Any opinions on these bad boyz. They didnt shoot well with my set up but I changed to the NAP nitrons and have been amazed. Before you buy the g5's try the nitrons. They hit with my tips from the box and penetrate incredibly. Nick
Re: G5 Broadheads? Any opinions on these bad boyz. I had good results with the G5. I killed 3 deer with them this fall. The first doe dropped right in her tracks and died within a minute. Then the 2nd deer, I used the same arrow and broadhead I killed the doe with and didnt evne sharpen the head, I hit that buck in front of the right shoulder and exited behind the left giving me a complete pass through. He didnt leave me drops of blood, he left me a stream of blood to the end of the trail about 40 yards later. The 3rd deer, I hit him right behind the shoulder at 35 yards, got a complete pass through and he left me a double blood trail about 100 yards. I am impressed with them and will continue to use them. The\y fly the same as my field tips. Like said in a post above, they do have a slight whisper when they are flying, but I never had a deer spook or jump from it. Rhino
Re: G5 Broadheads? Any opinions on these bad boyz. I'm shooting them out of my compound bows and I love them. They are durable and get great penetration. Sharpening them is easy to me because I've been sharpening other broadheads that I use with my recurve so I'm used to doing it. This year I killed 4 deer with them and I was real impressed with their performance.
RyanH
Re: G5 Broadheads? Any opinions on these bad boyz. My buddy shot them this year! He had a hard time getting a good blood trial with them! On two deer perfect double lung shoots and hardly any blood! Not sure what the deal is! need2hunt
Re: G5 Broadheads? Any opinions on these bad boyz. I've shot them last season and this season... they definitely fly true and are durable... the only negative that I have had with them is I have not had as good of blood trails as I would want with them... but will also say that I didn't lose any of the deer I've shot with them.
