Bownarow Posted August 17, 2007 Report Share Posted August 17, 2007 I saw a nice bachelor group with 7 bucks in it about two weeks ago. Two of those bucks would probably score in the 150's so I'm pretty excited about that part of the farm. I also know there are two booners on or near the farm. The camera is out now though over 100lbs of corn and it has been out for 3 weeks now. I'll be checking it in a week or two so we'll see. M00N Posted September 3, 2007 Report Share Posted September 3, 2007 Last weekend we went up to one of my hunting locations and checked out three of my hunting spots in that location. Two of the spots had some light rain and in the mud we saw a lot of different sized hoof prints. One was huge. Either a young elk came by and stepped in the same tracks the whitetails were walking in or it's a really big whitetail buck. I'm hoping it was a whitetail buck and I catch a glimps of him in archery. Other than that I haven't seen bucks in person any of the times I've went up scouting this season. I think it was just too hot those days and they were somewhere cooler, but always found footprints, fresh droppings, and scrapes each time within a close distance of my stand/blind areas. Not seeing anywhere near the numbers of deer we used to, have had one buck go past one of my cameras in the past month. Really not getting too high of hopes for this season.
