Framing and Matting?

Typically you would go with a frame that is 1 size larger, the difference being made up by the matte board. But personal preference should be the final factor. A good framer should be able to help you chose colors and frame styles that will enhance the photo. They should be able to place at least a matte corner on the image to give you some idea of how it will look.

Framing and matting can be real cool and look great too! But then can can also be very expensive! The pictures I have taken through out the years hanging in my home are just framed. $5 to $15 per frame, compared to $100 and up for a custom frame and matting. My father recently got some prints that he had custom framed, looks awesome. But he paid about $125 for it too. Smaller one shouldn't be that expensive.
