Hoyt03
Looking to buy my first muzzelloader. First off I dont know a whole lot about muzzelloaders and dont really have anyone I know to show me. I'm all but set on buying the new Omega w/ the stainless/hardwoods pattern. Does anyone have any experience with these muzzelloaders? Just want to make sure I make a good choice. The gun felt awesome in hand, and the price seems right, on discount for 420$. Hopefully I get some good info on this gun, and after I buy it i'm gonna be asking questions in here like crazy thanks in advance
tedicast
Re: Question on the TC Omega w/ 209 ignition I have an Encore. I ;ove the TC ml'ers. If the gun feels good to you, I don't think you can go wrong with an Omega. I personally just didn't like the feel, and liked the Encore better. That is personal preference though. I don't think you will be sorry with an Omega.
str8shooter48
Re: Question on the TC Omega w/ 209 ignition Hoyt, I think the choice of an Omega is a good one. I personally have an Encore which I bought a while before the Omegas came out. My two brothers both have Omegas. Stainless with the pepper laminated stocks. I know stock choice is personal preference. I think T/C missed the boat on their synthetic stocks. I had one on Encore that I replaced with a laminated stock. The synthetic stocks are hollow. They are noisy, brush it up against a buckle or anything solid it makes quite a bit of noise. IMO I think the gun is better balanced with the laminated stock and the little extra weight your adding helps soak up a little recoil. If you have a chance to look at one with the laminated stock check it out. I don't know how you feel about mailorder sales but heres a site to checkout. I've purchased a few items from them there service is good. https://www.dnrsports.net/miva/merchant....uzzleloaderstho Good Luck on whatever you decide. tped
Re: Question on the TC Omega w/ 209 ignition I have an Encore and recently bought an Omega, thumbhole laminated and love it. Gun shoots my load at under 1" groups all day long and is great to hunt with. I love the thumbhole stock. I don't think you would be sorry with the Omega. Easy to clean also
