VermontHunter
Funny I thought the Vectrix was as light as my Alpine Fatal Impact... I wish the shop that I shot the Vectrix at had the XL Model so I could have compared the two ...

huntdux
BIGMOSS, what's the physical weight of the Trykon and Vectrix? If you were going to buy one next season which would it be?
bigmoss
BIGMOSS, what's the physical weight of the Trykon and Vectrix? If you were going to buy one next season which would it be? HD not sure of the exact weight but they are more or less the same, I would go with a Vectrix much smoother and quieter plus it has the STS built in now. You can pick them up used but like new now for a song compared to the new price when they forst hit the market.
VermontHunter
BIGMOSS, what's the physical weight of the Trykon and Vectrix? If you were going to buy one next season which would it be? All the Vectrix is, is a Trykon on steriods... Really !! ,, they took everything good about the Trykon and improved on it .. This straight form the Hoyt web site... The first time you hold the all-new Vectrix™, you’ll feel the difference. Shoot it, and you’ll be left speechless. The 2nd generation, parallel limb Hoyt Vectrix, is a complete redesign of the already popular Trykon. Our relentless engineering team spent thousands of hours researching, testing and improving every facet of the design and function of the bow. The new, lighter TEC riser is equipped with our innovative StealthShot™ String Suppression System and two RizerShox. These systems synergistically combine to completely silence and deaden the bow. The firepower behind the Vectrix is generated from the new, highly efficient and super smooth Vector Cam & 1/2. The effortless and steady draw cycle is incredibly smooth, but the hard-hitting speed that it creates leaves no doubt that this is a high-performance bow. For a shot like you’ve never experienced, shoot the Vectrix today. I too was interested in the actual weight of the Vectrix but couldn't find this information amoung the spec info... Guest doublelung45
I posted a question in the equipment forum about reflex bows. I am looking for input on the company and their product as I am looking into purchasing a new bow, A Hoyt would be ideal but Reflex is made by Hoyt and appears to use the same technology for less money, is there a reason they are less expensive? I am looking for input on the company and their product as I am looking into purchasing a new bow, A Hoyt would be ideal but Reflex is made by Hoyt and appears to use the same technology for less money, is there a reason they are less expensive? there are different odds and ends that set them apart 1) the limbs are different Hoyt uses 5 piece layered split limb. 2) I don't think the reflex's have quite as much dampening items on them. 3) Hoyt is also trying to get into parralel limbs while the position of the Refles hasn't changed much. Also there could be different ways the riser is made and what materials are used to put the bow together. Also that is the premise of the Reflex, Diamond, Mission lines they are all great bow lines made my greater companies just they are made for less by shaving some manufacturing costs Hope this helps By the way nice bow Coach:D Congrats

They are a great bow and the new ones are top notch. Great pocket design for the riser to limb and they are getting into parallel limbs. Probably the greatest value in bows out there. Check out the new line, you will not be disappointed in them. Great looking bow Coach, I have an Optix ME sight but haven't put it on my bow yet. Kinda like my Fuse sight right now!
