Do you change your broadhead setup because of Waddell's new contract with G5??

I'm a big fan of Realtree, I mean a big fan. I was just curious if anyone ehre would change their broadhead setup and go with G5's. Has anyone done this since he dropped the Muzzy's.

Personally I dont change my setups because that is waht someone else uses...I mean unless his G5's will make for a deader deer than my head I'll stay with my current setup...but that just me

No, didn't change mine. Thunderheads do a great job for me and I'm sticking with them.

No, I don't change equipment by what i see others use, I go on past performance, or what I want from a product..

yep, i went from grim reapers to the 3 blade rages :D

like the other, i don't run out and get equipment because the guys on tv shows or videos shoot them,i may give them a hard look, but in the end i go with what i feel would work best with my setup.

To be perfectly honest, I don't use anything because some pro is using it. It doesn't matter who he is. I pick and choose my gear based on what has worked best for me. Like most hunters I'll experiment trying new things too but only if it seems to make sense that it might improve on my arsenal of gear.

Good to see Michael has finally seen the light though and joined the rest of us G5 bowhunters.

I havent changed my set up based soley on a pro's change. I know it didn't hurt to remind myself that waddell was shooting a Zero Effect when I bought mine...ive had it on there for about a week now, but the WB will be back on there next week...and not because he doesn't shoot one anymore.

I'm going to keep shooting my muzzys. THey have worked for years so I dont see the need to change ;):)

there have been times when a Pro shooter has influenced me to buy a product or 2. this means a Pro target shooter not pro hunter.

no i wont be switching broadheads because Michael switched to G5. now if i got a little dough and some free broadheads from them i would switch.

I do a lot of researching on products through consumer opinion pages. I try to get my info from people Not getting paid to use a product. I still love my Muzzys, they have worked great for me in the past. But I do have a friend that just gave me a package of Rocky Mountain Assassins expandables to try. He swears by them and been trying to get me to go with expandables for about 3 years. This year he gave a package to try. We'll see how they work later this year. But I like to make decisions to use a product from talking to people that have to spend their hard earned money on something, than someone who gets paid to say it works.

For what it's worth, the Oklahoma State Broadhead 3D Tournament was won with a Montec the last 2 yrs running.

Yep and Dan Chaffin made them look goooooooddddddddd.........LOL. No I'm not changing cause someone else does. I changed to Magnus this year because the Muzzy's left horrible blood trails last year.

I would say it is equal proportions.........Great shooter coupled with a great flying head.........the bow is only as good as the shooter and the shooter is only as good as the bow.

I try to buy the best equipment I can afford so when it goes down hill I can only blame myself.

No I didnt.

I changed them because they have won the state broadhead tournament the last two years.

I changed to them this year and I won shooting a great score.

Bottonline there a super awesome accurate broadhead.
