Griz
Welp, I have been gone for a while. Been in the hay feilds everyday from 6am. to 10pm. Been working 7 days a week. But today we had a rain out so I got a day off...:DYip-Pee... But tomorrow it's back to the ole grind stone until we get done...When ever that may be... The hay this year has been great. We are sitting on 7000 bales and we are hoping to get a 3rd cutting on everything... Man it's been super hot here also... There was one day it lumped to 105 with a heat index 110. One of our tractors broke down that day. So here I am in the heat in the middle of the feild working on the thing. I got soooo hot I was ready to pass out. I had to call my wife to come to my rescue. She got me to the house so that I could cool down. I tought she started to take me to the hospital, but I snapped out of it. It got pretty scary I tell you that for sure... But I'm still kicking and going strong and working my tail end off. Ain't nothing going to slow this ole boy down... I can't wait for fall to get here... I'm starting to get pumped for deer season... Well I better get... I just wanted to stop in and say Howdy and to say I will see everyone again real soon. Yall take care... Griz... buckee
You be careful out in that hot sun Griz. I know ya gotta make hay while the sun shines, but the temperatures this year have given that old saying a whole new meaning.

archerjg
Good to hear that things are going well in the hay fields. We are just hoping that we will get a rain to green up the brown patures and get the hay that is left growing. Archerjg

Rhino
Sounds like you had a close call Dale. Be careful in that kind of heat. I've been severely overheated before too getting to the nausia and cold chills stage. Pretty scary stuff so take care of yourself out there and drink plenty of liquids. You know you're not exactly a spring chicken. As far as missing anything, not unless your name was drawn for a door prize in the turkey forum and you didn't respond in 8 days. Looking forward to seeing more of you soon. I'm also looking forward to some cooler temperatures too.

Yeah it really opened my eyes when it happened.
wtnhunt
Be careful out there Dale. It has been dangerously hot here, have heard reports of a dozen heat related deaths in the Memphis area. We had a run of 11 consecutive days of recorded temps over 100 here, 4 of those days temps went over 104:eek:. Was only like 98 or 99 the past two days, but supposed to be back up over 100 for the next 4 or 5 more days. Everything here is pretty dried up:(
