Spent a little time over the weekend with my buddy setting up tree stands and filling feeders. Got in a little ATV riding and scouted the place out. I also watched my Primose bow hunting videos over the weekend. Just trying to pick up anything I can. Good luck to everyone out there and be safe! kingfisherfd2 Posted August 20, 2007 Report Share Posted August 20, 2007 Season starts here in NC on Sept. 8th. Saturday we put more corn out. While walking out we spooked a buck that looked like it might be a shooter. Yesterday we went out to a friends and shot our bows from his elevated deck. It was the first time I shot my bow since I added the kisser. I was shooting 2" groups. Not sure if we can get out or not. He has a ranch near Ismay Mt. I don't have a tag, so I'll probably hunt Sharptails and play golf in Miles City, but he should have a great time. I've got all my stands hung, My new bow have been throwing bullets for months, all my clothes are washed and in scent proof bags, all my packs are setup and ready. All I can do now is watch the 2-3 hours of hunting shows that I record each night. I guess you could say that I am a little excited. LOL!!!!!!!!!! So we found what we figure will be a good location near were we have some of the corn out. I will see what has been working so much at our corn piles. We spooked some turkeys out of their roost while we were putting corn out at my stand location. elkoholic Posted August 24, 2007 Report Share Posted August 24, 2007 closer Well, it is only 8 more days now and I spend way too much time thinking about bugling elk and the large number of quality bucks we have running around. I have to work the opening weekend, but will probably sit on a deer stand during the evening hours. I am on vacation from Sept. 7th through the 23rd (17 days of hunting bliss) and the elk better watch out then. Good hunting to all this fall!
