nativetexan
As I am sure some of you may have heard, New Jersey cancelled the bear hunt again. Although I am not surprised, the thing that makes me the most angry is only 1500 or so people on the side of hunting wrote in or attended or both. I hope that we will all keep in mind that even though bear hunting may not be your favorite, once the anti's get their foot in the door and a ban occurs, you can bet the same people will be back to try the same on any type of game. This is our fault...because we let them due to a lack of voice. You can read the transcript of the speakers on both sides challenging the proposed solutions (bear sterilization) at this website. You can also read how the chair of the New Jersey DEP blatantly disregarded a Supreme Court decision and chose to go her own way. Much like Corzine. Arrogant. Once again New Jersey caves to the anti's. Pay close attention to the arguments from the opposing side. Time for every hunter out there to get involved. http://www.nj.gov/dep/fgw/bbpubmtgresults.htm
