257bob
I always shoot the deer where I can drive right to it with the pick-up. It's easy hunting pasture ground to do that though. I have only had to drag one deer in my life. I shot it in an uncut Milo field. Won't do that again.
Guest Guideman
I use a 2 wheel game cart because I usually go way back into where the truck can't, won't and don't go.
wtnhunt
That is pretty nice. I walk to my stands. For getting deer out, often times use the tractor, kind of nice having a loader I can pull the deer into the bucket at ground level.

Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Walk and Drag for the most part, thats my way as well, if we are in the upper penninsula, they are usually pulled out to the edge of the woods and then loaded on the back of my uncles 4 wheeler. Rhino
Within ~300 yards of my stand the soles of my boots. Outside that point I'm usually using my RuffNTuff electric cart or on rare occasions OJ (my 1993 White Ford Bronco) but OJ usually does most of the to and from work during preseason scouting and preseason stand preparation trips. Brad6639
This past winter I bought a 2000 Polaris 325 magnum 2x4. I havent gotten to try it out for hunting yet other than for turkeys and it performed flawlessly. I mostly just need it to haul a deer out if I get one. The other thing Im toying with is driving it to and from where I hunt, and the reasoning is the farmer has a polaris that sounds just like mine, and its always running and the deer are accustomed to that sound, so I figure it might be less of a threat than someone walking. I would think the deer might hear the sound and retreat just enough until the threat is gone, thinking it could be the farmer bringing his cows in for milking or soemthing like that.
