Canuck2
For deer, almost always on foot, dragging. That's how I blew my knee out this year. But I have, on occasion, used a tractor - and once a skidder was employed when I got a buck near where a friend of mine was logging. But for moose, anything but man power is a relief. This year, my old Yamaha hauled my moose out in 3 trips. That's a hind quarter on the back.

bluelund79
Even with 3 slipped disks in my lumbar, boot leather is the only way to go. Someday I will get a 4 wheeler, but for now I will stick to walking...
HUNTINGMAN
I drive my dodge durango to the top of the steepest hill and then walk the other 1.5 miles to my hunting spot, gets really hairy going up logging road in the mud and over rock ledges with a bluff on one side of you.Have big bear to drive but dont because of the smell from the gas,get out of truck and jump into scent blocker suit and walk, bear is used for dragging and hauling deer. Straight Shooter
"I know cats are big machines and all but in that picture it looks liek a little toy. Either your a monster of a man or on a deck or something :)" My 400 Kitty does great! This is a 110# Doe on the rack.
Rem308
When I need to drag one out, I like being able to go get my 700 Sportsman. There are a few times that I've needed it and didn't have it, that is rough!
